About the RoleAs a Care Support Worker with MSWA, you’ll provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to Residents and Clients within our MSWA Hamilton Hill accommodation. You’ll support individuals to maintain their independence, enhance their quality of life, and feel confident and connected within their community.
Your day may include personal care, social engagement, transport assistance, domestic support, and contributing to a safe and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities - Provide individualised personal care, including hygiene, grooming, mobility and daily living activities
- Support medication administration (in line with training and guidelines)
- Offer transport support for appointments and community access
- Deliver social support and meaningful engagement activities
- Report and document any changes in client condition or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with Residents, Clients, families and MSWA staff
- Participate in training, meetings and professional development
- Promote independence and uphold dignity, cultural values, and personal choice
Our ‘must haves’ - NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS orientation module (or willingness to obtain.)
- Current First Aid Certificate (theory + practical)
- Ability to communicate respectfully and sensitively with people living with disability
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow direction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of safe work practices and manual handling
