About the Role We’re looking for a compassionate and confident Respite Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our City Beach Respite site.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Residential Services/Respite Manager to ensure high-quality service delivery for our clients. You’ll provide leadership, guidance and support to our Care Support Workers, ensuring a safe, engaging and empowering environment for Clients and their families.
This is the perfect role for someone with strong coordination skills, a passion for person-centred care, and the ability to build great relationships with staff, Clients and families.
Key Responsibilities - Assist the Manager with the coordination and day‑to‑day running of the residential respite site.
- Support Clients by ensuring their goals, needs and preferences are met in line with the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Framework.
- Provide supervision, guidance and escalation support for Care Support Workers.
- Maintain effective communication with Clients, families, and relevant Medical/Clinical/Legal representatives.
- Facilitate Client access to services, supports and activities that promote independence and wellbeing.
- Ensure compliance with MSWA policies, procedures and documentation requirements regarding Client care and safety.
- Participate in case conferences, multidisciplinary team meetings and client meetings.
Must‑haves - Experience in disability, aged care, community services or a similar care setting
- Strong understanding of person‑centred practice
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to support, mentor and guide frontline staff
- Sound organisational and coordination skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with Clients and families
