About the RoleAs a Residential Neurological Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering safe, person‑centred clinical care to residents living with neurological conditions at our brand‑new 20‑bed facility in Shenton Park.
Your work will support residents’ rights to dignity, respect, and self‑determination while providing essential clinical interventions, care planning, and ongoing assessments.
You’ll collaborate with Residential Managers, care staff, allied health teams, GPs, and specialists to ensure each resident receives coordinated, responsive, and high‑quality clinical support.
This is a meaningful role where you’ll make a profound, daily impact on resident wellbeing and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Client Support: - Complete assessments and develop, review, and update resident Care Plans.
- Provide clinical care including continence, wound, stoma, enteral care, and medication management.
- Liaise with GPs, pharmacists, and specialists regarding care and medication changes.
- Manage clinical products, consumables, and equipment.
- Supervise and support Care Support Workers and contribute to multidisciplinary decision‑making.
- Ensure confidentiality under the Privacy Act 1988 and follow MSWA escalation procedures.
- Participate in research and quality initiatives to improve outcomes for people with neurological conditions.
Team Collaboration & Support - Communicate effectively with staff across the facility.
- Assist with orientation, training, and ongoing support of staff.
- Act as a clinical resource and maintain clear communication around care changes.
- Contribute to Quality Assurance and continuous clinical improvements.
Administration & Compliance - Complete clinical documentation in line with MSWA’s governance framework.
- Submit reports, monitor indicators, and participate in meetings.
- Maintain compliance with NDIS Worker Screening, NDIS Orientation, Code of Conduct, WHS, and MSWA policies.
Must-haves - Current registration with AHPRA
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current C Class driver’s licence
- Working with Children Check
