About the Role As the Senior Marketing Operations Officer, you’ll be a key part of the engine room behind MSWA’s biggest lottery campaigns — including the Mega Home Lottery, one of WA’s largest fundraising programs.
You’ll keep campaigns running smoothly by bringing structure, clarity, and control across timelines, compliance, finance workflows, and operational delivery. This enables the wider team to focus on standout creative, strategy and results.
It’s a hands-on role with real influence. You’ll lead and mentor a Marketing Operations Officer, streamline ways of working, and help build a smarter, stronger, and more scalable operations function — all in service of a cause that genuinely changes lives.
Key Responsibilities: Operational Support & Campaign Enablement - Coordinate campaign timelines, milestones, tasks, and dependencies
- Act as a central point between marketing, finance, compliance, suppliers, and internal service teams
- Support draw-day logistics, winner experience planning, and operational readiness
- Identify operational risks early and escalate appropriately
Forecasting, Reporting & Insights - Support forecasting, scenario planning, and performance tracking
- Analyse sales and operational data to support reporting and surface risks/opportunities.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely campaign and portfolio reports
Budget, Finance & Compliance - Assist with tracking campaign budgets and expenditure
- Support financial reconciliation processes and liaise with Finance teams
- Assist with compliance and regulatory documentation and audits
- Review T&Cs, templates, and key operational documents for accuracy
Prize Procurement & Property Operations - Support assessment and procurement of lottery properties
- Coordinate due diligence across legal, finance, compliance, and external partners
- Recommend property suitability based on risks, appeal, and operational alignment
- Coordinate property readiness for major campaign milestones.
Process Improvement & Systems - Identify workflow and systems improvements
- Support implementation of new tools, processes, and reporting frameworks
- Strengthen handovers, briefing quality, and operational clarity
Leadership & Team Support - Provide day-to-day guidance to the Marketing Operations Officer
- Assist with workload planning and prioritisation
- Act as an escalation point for operational queries and challenges
Must‑Haves - Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in marketing operations or campaign coordination
- Strong ability to manage data, reporting, and operational detail
- Experience supporting budgets and governance processes
- Calm, organised, and effective under pressure
Nice-to-Haves - Experience in regulated industries, fundraising, or not‑for‑profit environments
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, automation tools or analytics dashboards
- Experience supporting large, multichannel marketing campaigns
