The Senior Individual Giving Officer plays a key role in developing, delivering and growing MSWA’s Individual Giving program, which encompasses Appeals and Regular Giving. This role is responsible for generating unrestricted income from individual donors through targeted and insight‑driven direct marketing strategies.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who brings both strategic thinking and operational execution. You will design and implement campaigns, develop compelling supporter journeys, and create persuasive cases for support that highlight the breadth and impact of MSWA’s work.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and deliver direct mail and digital fundraising campaigns, including appeals and regular giving, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget execution.
- Lead data‑driven segmentation and targeting to strengthen Individual Giving performance, with a focus on Regular Giving growth.
- Project‑manage all campaign activities, including briefing stakeholders, data selection, copywriting, production, fulfilment, and post‑campaign analysis.
- Analyse campaign results and report against budget, using insights to shape future appeals and annual planning.
- Deliver exceptional supporter journeys and coordinate donor recognition to enhance engagement and retention.
- Maintain accurate supporter records, support program planning, engage donors directly, and collaborate across teams to achieve PP&E and organisational objectives
Essential - Relevant qualification, or 3+ years of fundraising experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Experience in individual giving, including donor cultivation and stewardship.
- Proven success managing end‑to‑end direct marketing fundraising campaigns.
- Skilled in using appeal tactics and data analysis to enhance revenue performance.
- Strong donor database management, including data selection and segmentation.
- Demonstrated results in donor acquisition, retention, and meeting budget targets.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail, with ability to build strong relationships.
- NDIS Clearance Certificate and NDIS Workers Orientation Module .
Desirable - Knowledge of and experience working with Salesforce, Mailchimp and 3rd party platforms
- Knowledge of fundraising legislation, practices, and the philosophy of charitable giving
- Knowledge of developments, innovation and initiatives emerging in the fundraising industry, including donor/data management and other relevant business technologies.
