About the Role: In this newly created role, you’ll develop and deliver effective internal communication activities that engage employees, promote organisational culture, and ensure alignment with business objectives. You’ll play a key role in fostering transparency, collaboration, and a positive employee experience through clear, timely, and impactful messaging.
This is a stand-alone, hands-on internal communications role, supported by the People Experience Team which is responsible for enhancing the employee experience. Being a stand-alone role means you will have an opportunity to take lead on all things internal communications and influence the direction of the function all with the backing of the People & Culture team.
Your key responsibilities will include: - Communication Strategy: With the People Experience Manager support the development and implementation of internal communication strategies and plans aligned with organisational goals.
- Content Creation: Write, edit, and distribute engaging content for internal channels (intranet, newsletters, emails, digital screens).
- Channel Management: Manage and optimise internal communication platforms and tools, ensuring they remain accurate, engaging and a trusted source of communication.
- Campaigns & Initiatives: Coordinate and deliver activities for organisational initiatives, events, and change projects that foster a positive employee experience.
- Employee Experience: Encourage two-way communication and use insights to improve employee experience.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement and innovation in communication and engagement practices.
- Stakeholder relationship: Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to understand needs and provide expert advice and support.
What We’re Looking For: Must-haves: - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, Human Resources or related field.
- Demonstrated relevant experience in a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
- Experience with Microsoft communication platforms (Viva Engage, SharePoint) Values driven.
- A highly accountable individual, comfortable working autonomously.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
Nice-to-haves: - Familiarity with change management principles.
- Experience in not-for-profit organisations.
