We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Corporate Engagement & Grants Officer to join our Partnerships team. This role is pivotal in implementing MSWA’s corporate engagement strategy, managing day-to-day operations, and fostering strong relationships with corporate partners and grant providers. You’ll play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, crafting compelling grant applications, and supporting strategic partnerships to maximise income and impact.
This is a permanent, full-time role based in our Belmont Office.
What you’ll be doing
- Research and assess new grant opportunities aligned with MSWA’s strategic goals.
- Lead the development and submission of high-quality grant applications.
- Coordinate internal contributions for grant applications and reporting.
- Maintain a comprehensive grants pipeline, tracking deadlines, eligibility, and reporting requirements.
- Provide stewardship and relationship management for existing corporate and government partners.
- Support the Partnerships Manager in executing the corporate engagement strategy to meet income targets and ensure strong return on investment
- Assist in onboarding new partners and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- Serve as a key contact for partner communications and support implementation plans.
- Plan and coordinate partnership-related engagement initiatives and events.
About you You’re a proactive and confident communicator with a passion for relationship-building and strategic fundraising. You thrive in fast-paced, purpose-driven environments and enjoy working collaboratively to achieve meaningful outcomes. With a knack for writing compelling grant applications and developing impactful partnerships, you bring a mix of strategic thinking, creativity, and attention to detail to everything you do. You’re highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and driven by the opportunity to make a real difference in the community.
Key Criteria - A degree in Communications (or a related field) and 3+ years of experience in corporate partnerships or grant coordination.
- Proven ability to deliver operational plans and develop initiatives that drive income and engagement.
- Strong interpersonal skills—you’re comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills—you can craft compelling reports and deliver presentations with confidence.
- Highly organised and self-motivated—you manage multiple priorities with ease and take ownership of your work.
- Experience researching and developing tailored proposals for potential partners.
- Solid analytical skills—you’re confident tracking data and drawing insights.
- A customer-focused mindset with a track record of building lasting relationships.
- Advanced IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office, and a willingness to learn new tools that support team collaboration.
