Join our close-knit Employment Support Services (EES) team at MSWA Wilson, dedicated to driving positive social and economic change for people with neurological conditions in Western Australia.
As an Recruitment Consultant, you'll be instrumental in our mission, focusing on providing specialised employment support to individuals with conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Motor Neurone, and Stroke.
This role is pivotal to the success of our Team, where you'll handle small manageable client caseloads and utilise your active listening and sales skills to build strong relationships with employers and match candidates to sustainable job opportunities.
A thorough understanding of people-centred case management principles, including barrier management, is essential for success in this role.
This is a fixed-term (12-months), part-time position; we offer flexibility in working hours (45 hours per fortnight) to accommodate your schedule preferences.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships with clients and potential employers.
- Identify barriers and devise appropriate management plans for employment pathways.
- Assist clients in their job search efforts.
- Source employment opportunities through effective networking and marketing.
- Place clients into suitable, sustainable employment by understanding their goals and addressing barriers with the support of our allied health team.
- Ensure long-term employment for EES clients with allied health team support.
- Create employment opportunities through business development activities like cold-calling and networking.
Must-Haves: - Demonstrated expertise and experience in placing job seekers into sustainable employment.
- Experience in sourcing and creating vocational opportunities for individuals in the open labour market.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
- Possessing a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to an ongoing changing environment (this is a must!)
- Ability to quickly build rapport with others.
- NDIS worker screening check or willingness to obtain.
- Current “C class” driver’s license.
Nice-to-Haves: - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to working with people who have a disability.
- Demonstrated ability to meet targets and achieve prescribed outcomes.
- Knowledge of the employment barriers that individuals with a disability face when trying to maintain or look for employment.
- Experience sourcing, developing and implementing Vocational Training for/with participants.
- Experience in case management for disadvantaged groups.
