Looking for shifts in a small residential facility? Looking to move into or land your next position in the disability industry? Look no further.
We are looking for a Care Support Worker to join our supported accommodation team in our Fern River Facility (Wilson) on a casual basis.
With accommodation facilities for up to 10 residents living with neurological conditions (including MS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Motor Neurone, Acquired Brain Injury and Stroke) MSWA offers an age-appropriate option for younger people who would otherwise be at risk of entering aged-care facilities, due to their high care needs.
It allows our residents to maintain their privacy, whilst promoting social interaction with fellow residents, staff, and visitors in a shared communal area. Additionally, it is designed to integrate with the local community, and feel more like a home!
As a Care Support Worker, you’ll be assisting with their personal care (including showering, dressing & personal hygiene), domestic assistance (e.g. household chores and serving meals), medication assistance and social support if required (for example community access).
So, are you ready to make a difference as a Care Support Worker? if so keep reading because this role won’t just make a huge difference to the lives of those living with neurological conditions – it’ll make a big difference to your life too.
Our ‘must haves’
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain.)
Provide First Aid certificate – less than 12 months old (if not, we can help you there!)
Our ‘nice to haves’
Current Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence with no restrictions.
Experience in a care support worker role.
A positive attitude (makes a huge difference!)
A Certificate III in a relevant discipline.
