A Day in Your Life as a Neurological Liaison Nurse:
- Conduct nursing assessments and develop personalised care plans.
- Provide essential nursing services, including continence management, wound care, and palliative support.
- Facilitate referrals to other health services and collaborate with our Allied Health teams to ensure holistic care.
- Enjoy a mix of office-based work and community travel, where your expertise will be needed across the region—from Mandurah in the south to Ellenbrook in the north. While we strive to keep you close to home, being open to travelling further afield is essential to provide the support our clients need.
The Opportunity:
We’re offering a permanent part-time position for a Neurological Liaison Nurse, consisting of 60 hours per fortnight.
You’ll typically work on Mondays and Fridays, with the flexibility to choose two additional days during the week that suit you best.Your primary base will be at our Wilson service centre, but you'll play a crucial role in the community. To facilitate your travel, we provide pool cars, or you can use your own vehicle—travel expenses will be reimbursed.
What We’re Looking For: - Strong time management and prioritisation skills to handle a varied caseload.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
Compliance Essentials: - Current registration with the Nurses Board of Western Australia (EN or RN).
- Up to date First Aid and CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Full C Class driving licence without restrictions.
- Working with children check.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in community nursing.
- Familiarity with neurological conditions and rehabilitation nursing.
- Knowledge of Disability Services Legislation and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
- Background in palliative care, continence management, and wound care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, alongside computer literacy.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to quality improvement.
