About the Role
This role will provide dedicated support to finance project initiatives and operational improvement activities across the Finance function. The position will assist with project-based work involving the review of outstanding items, data and ledger clean-up, process follow-up, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to support timely resolution of finance matters.
The role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to work through allocated tasks in a structured and accurate manner. It will also contribute to improving process consistency, record integrity, and overall finance operational efficiency.
Role Responsibilities
- Support finance project activities and operational improvement initiatives across the Finance team
- Review and investigate outstanding finance items and determine the appropriate next steps in line with documented processes and business rules.
- Assist with ledger and data clean-up activities, including updates, reconciliations, adjustments, and record maintenance where required.
- Prepare and process finance transactions associated with project work, such as refunds, credits, offsets, or other corrective actions, in accordance with approved procedures.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and other relevant parties to obtain information, confirm status, and support issue resolution.
- Maintain clear and accurate supporting documentation, records, and audit trails for work completed.
- Escalate exceptions, risks, or items requiring approval in line with the applicable delegation of authority and internal controls.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are always maintained
About you - Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for investigating and resolving financial transactions and discrepancies
- Able to work individually demonstrating initiative, but also willing and capable to work as part of a team
- Experience in a finance operations, accounts payable, reconciliation, or administrative finance support environment would be advantageous.
- Experience with Tramada System or similar travel accounting package is highly desirable however not essential.
- A relevant Certificate/Diploma/Degree (or studying towards) would be advantageous however not essential.
