About the Role
The GDS Systems Manager Oversees CTM platforms Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport, aggregators and direct connections to ensure their products, services, and inventory are accurately represented and bookable by online and offline solutions. Ensuring full content is accessible by CTM and it’s customers. Responsibilities include system management, strategic planning to maximize bookings and revenue, managing relationships with GDS providers, training users, and ensuring the GDS is integrated with internal systems and third-party applications.
- Ensure the GDS integrates seamlessly with other systems, such as POS, online and offline applications, mid back office, profile database, data warehouse and revenue management systems.
- Ensure full product, services and solution capabilities are utilised in CTM’s platform. Optimise both online and offline workflows. Ensure CTM uses GDS solutions over building unless solution gaps exist.
- Focus on reducing client friction and CTM innovating with new technologies.
- Responsibilities include supporting the Business Engineer to align the business optimization project to strategic and operational change.
- Manage the implementation of strategic initiatives, leading with innovation and helping CTM meet our 5-year goals.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely to key stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills: Assessing operational conditions, recognising issues and areas for improvement and providing solutions for the business. Problem solving analytical skills to ensure swift detection of issues and the ability to deal with performance challenges in everyday work.
Education and Experience - 10 years of GDS and GDS related products & platform experience
- Performed in Travel related business consulting roles, providing solutions to large Global complex TMC’s
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong communication skills
- Data Driven Methodology
- In-depth knowledge of GDS platforms, including fares, robotics, AI
- Manage partnership PNL
