About the Role
The Workforce Planning Manager is responsible for forecasting workforce needs, aligning staffing strategies with business goals, and ensuring the organization has the right people, with the right skills, at the right time. This role partners closely with HR, finance, and business leaders to analyse workforce data, support strategic decision-making, and improve workforce efficiency and readiness.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and maintain short-term and long-term workforce plans aligned with organizational strategy
- Analyse workforce data, trends, and metrics (e.g., headcount, attrition, productivity, skills gaps)
- Forecast staffing needs based on business growth, operational changes, and budget constraints
- Partner with HR, talent acquisition, learning & development, and finance teams to align hiring, development, and budget plans
- Design and improve workforce models, scenarios, and capacity planning tools
- Monitor workforce risks and recommend mitigation strategies (e.g., succession planning, reskilling)
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership to support strategic workforce decisions
- Ensure workforce planning processes comply with internal policies and applicable regulations
- Continuously improve workforce planning methodologies and data accuracy
Education and Experience Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Proven experience in workforce planning, HR analytics, strategic planning, or a related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with workforce data, dashboards, and reporting tools
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or professional certification in HR, analytics, or workforce planning
- Experience with HRIS, workforce planning software, or advanced analytics tools
- Experience supporting large or complex organizations
- Knowledge of labor market trends and workforce best practice
