About the role
We're seeking a visionary Lead Software Architect to drive our technical strategy and innovation initiatives. This role combines architectural leadership in distributed systems, AI/ML integration, and modern application development. The ideal candidate will lead the design of our federated development framework, champion shared services architecture, and guide our AI transformation journey while mentoring cross-functional engineering teams.
Core Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead implementation of federated development frameworks and shared services platforms
- Design scalable, cloud-native architectures supporting AI/ML workloads
- Lead integration of LLMs and AI services into enterprise applications
- Establish technical standards for microservices, API design, and shared components
- Guide teams in adopting modern development practices and tools
- Drive architectural decisions for distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
- Mentor and develop engineering teams while fostering technical excellence
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical strategy with business goals
Technical Expertise: - Expert-level proficiency in modern development frameworks and distributed systems
- Deep understanding of federated architecture and shared services models
- Strong experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Expertise in API design, microservices, and service mesh technologies
- Advanced knowledge of AI/ML integration patterns and LLM deployment
- Proven experience with container orchestration and infrastructure automation
- Strong background in security architecture and compliance requirements
Leadership Skills: - Proven track record leading distributed engineering teams
- Experience establishing development standards and best practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellence in technical mentorship and team development
Specialized Skills - Federated development frameworks and tools
- Microservices architecture and API gateway patterns
- Service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
- Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices
- AI/ML pipeline design and optimization
- Performance monitoring and distributed tracing
- Security best practices and zero-trust architecture
Education Experience - Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years in architectural or technical leadership roles
- Deep experience with enterprise-scale distributed systems
- Track record of successful technical transformation initiatives
- Strong portfolio of architectural solutions and technical publications
