About the Role
Brooker Consulting has been engaged to help this organisation appoint an outstanding Head of People & Culture. In this key leadership role, you will lead the strategic human resources function and drive initiatives that further enhance the organisational culture.
You will take a strategic approach to promote organisational effectiveness, increase employee engagement, and lead cultural transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic people initiatives that align with organisational values and goals
• Lead talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent
• Design and implement innovative employee engagement and development programs
• Drive change management initiatives to support organisational transformation
• Provide expert advice on workplace relations and employee wellbeing
• Manage enterprise agreement negotiations to ensure alignment with organisational priorities
• Develop and maintain robust OH&S practices to ensure a safe working environment
• Support and enhance a large-scale volunteer program
  
  

  
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or a related field
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all organisational levels
• Strong business acumen and experience managing complex HR challenges
• A passion for developing organisational capabilities and driving employee engagement
• Additional experience in the not-for-profit sector, particularly in animal welfare, would be highly regarded
