It supports a highly skilled professional community while partnering with government, industry and key stakeholders to influence policy, promote best practice and improve outcomes across the sector it represents.
About the role This is a rare opportunity to step into a genuinely influential interim leadership role at the heart of a respected membership organisation, at a pivotal moment in its evolution. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide operational stability and executive oversight across a diverse portfolio, working at the intersection of member advocacy, strategic delivery and organisational performance.
Key focus areas include: - Building trusted relationships with key stakeholders while leading advocacy and engagement initiatives that shape policy and practice across the sector
- Providing strategic leadership across the executive portfolio, driving member value, organisational performance and strategic priorities
- Leading and inspiring high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
- Executing outcomes aligned with the organisation’s strategic plan, translating vision into tangible results
- Leading change management initiatives as the organisation evolves to meet the needs of its members and stakeholders
- Occasional interstate travel to engage with stakeholders, members and teams across the country
About you You
Are an experienced executive with a demonstrated ability to lead within complex, stakeholder-rich environments. You bring strategic thinking, sound judgement and exceptional relationship management skills, together with the executive presence to influence and engage at the highest levels — with government, industry bodies, members and your own team alike.
Experience within healthcare, professional membership organisations, higher education, government or the for-purpose sector will be highly regarded.
