The Opportunity
As President of Stroke Foundation, you will lead a high-performing, values-driven Board at a pivotal time. Working closely with the CEO and fellow Directors, you will provide governance leadership, set strategic direction and help sustain the organisation’s financial strength.
You will play an influential external role, representing Stroke Foundation with governments, partners, donors and the wider community — cultivating relationships that advance the mission and secure long-term support. Your focus is to advance national impact in stroke prevention, treatment and recovery, while safeguarding the organisation’s culture, integrity, and long-term sustainability.
The Person
We are seeking an experienced Chair or senior governance leader with a deep affinity for mission-led work and strong commercial acumen. You will bring a track record of board leadership in complex environments, together with the presence to engage credibly with government, philanthropy and major partners. A compassionate, inclusive, values-based style is essential, as is respect for lived experience of stroke.
