An established Australian technology company is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Manager to lead a team of 10 engineers developing embedded systems, desktop applications, and cloud-based software used in complex environments worldwide.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive engineering best practices, modernise development processes, mentor engineers, and help shape the future direction of the software team.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor a team of 10 software engineers and testers.
• Drive improvements across engineering processes and software delivery.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture, code reviews, and problem solving.
• Work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Help build a strong engineering culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams as a manager or team lead.
• 10+ years of commercial software engineering development experience.
• Strong background in embedded C / C++
• Experience across Linux and Windows embedded environments.
• Strong understanding of embedded software development and modern engineering practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:

• Cloud platforms and CI/CD environments
• Experience working in regulated or safety-critical industries.
