Our client, a growing bank, is looking for a Senior Manager to build out their Vendor Management Program.

Job Synthesis & Description
The Senior Manager, Vendor Relationships will act as the primary point of contact and will be a resource between all business channels and service providers. This position will maintain programs and processes and maintain a consistent Vendor Management Program that complies with regulatory corporate standards for such programs. This position will assist with the continuous process improvement supported through ongoing monitoring and review of new products and services in the marketplace and offered through existing or new vendors.
Manages the ongoing third-party relationships from contracting, expansion of relationship, escalations, incidents, scorecards, due diligence, and onsite visits.
Completes the Vendor Risk Assessment (VRA) process.
Works with internal stakeholders to ensure control groups reviews are completed for onboarding of third parties.
Oversees key purchasing practices and works with LOB (line of business) to optimize purchasing results and opportunities.
Manages all vendor management relationships for all corporate locations as well as all business channels and branch offices. Maintains Vendor Risk Profiles for all key vendors.
Assists LOB with Vendor- related issues. Builds and maintains vendor relationships and serves as the primary contact on vendor-related issues.
Monitors/tracks vendor performance to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and works with relationship owner to resolve any service-related deficiencies. Oversees programs for compliance with policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
Leverages existing vendor relationships to maximize value and researches new vendors or services in the market; recommend new products and services as needed.
Works closely with the business relationship owner and Legal Counsel to negotiate and finalize contracts based on the best terms possible.
Collaborates and consults with executive management, department managers and other internal and external contacts regarding vendor issues.
Maintains a current working knowledge of vendor-related laws and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with the Vendor Risk Mitigation objectives.
Develops and updates vendor-related policies and procedures that draw on industry “best practices” to ensure that vendor activities are handled efficiently and are responsive to business needs.
Develops and maintains a vendor database with existing contracts and key terms, tracks and reports vendor performance on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis.
Maintains all files and records relating to vendor activities and maintains a current list of vendor contacts for timely resolution of issues.
Participates in the department hiring, promotion, and review process while managing, mentoring and improving support staff performance. Coaches and develops team to ensure we are meeting the needs of the company.
Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department. Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules.
Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration relevant field preferred
Requires 7-10 years of purchasing experience, preferably with a financial institution or mortgage company
5+ years of vendor relationship experience. Familiarity or knowledge of financial service regulations and/or regulations, preferred
5+ years of purchasing management experience
Experience with negotiating prices, products, and contracts.
Advanced knowledge of purchasing and vendor management theories, policies, processes, and best practices
Exhibit excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets
Must have proven verbal and written communication skills
Ability to develop and deliver executive presentations
Ability to work independently with little direction
Ability to manage a team to meet Company goals and objectives
