Job Description & Synthesis
Responsible for working with and overseeing third-party outsourced relationships designated to performing services for all procurement, bank, mortgage originations and servicing departments.
Manages the ongoing third-party relationships from contracting, expansion of relationship, escalations, incidents, scorecards, due diligence, and onsite visits.
Negotiates contracts and works to realize cost savings for the organization.
Collects and performs due diligence reviews on third-party vendors to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
Works with internal stakeholders to ensure control groups reviews are completed for onboarding of third parties.
Coordinates and hosts Discovery meetings to ensure proper Requests for Proposals and vetting is performed accurately.
Partners with IT and Accounts Payable teams to add approved third-party relationships to AP invoicing process.
Serves as the point of contact for key stakeholders and the third-party vendors.
Ensures that all regulatory requirements are being followed for third-party vendors.
Manages the corrective action process to ensure remediated actions are appropriately tracked and completed.
Ensures third-party is providing best in class customer service to our clients and customers.
Provides ad hoc reporting and performance metrics to stakeholders including the home loan originations team.
Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department. Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules.
Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field or commensurate work experience.
3 - 5 years of third-party vendor/relationship management experience.
3 years of mortgage industry and/or banking experience is preferred.
Experience in onboarding and performing of due diligence reviews and accounts payable a plus.
Experience in third-party compliance and/or third-party risk a plus.
Proven track record of successfully managing third-party outsourced relationships.
Advanced knowledge of the mortgage originations and servicing industry and associated processes.
Advanced knowledge and firm understanding of industry standard regulatory requirements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Outstanding written, verbal, and analytical skills
Strong customer service with a can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in the use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to effectively manage a third-party outsourced relationship.
Ability to manage processes and/or projects without supervision.
Ability to manage critical projects and/or process improvements.
Ability to analyze complex issues and ensuring deliverables are met.
Ability to manage time, prioritize, and plan accordingly.
Ability to manage key relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

Ability to negotiate and influence clients on key deliverables and timelines.
