Job Description & Synthesis
The Enterprise Fraud Risk Analytics Head is responsible for leading the analytic approach to managing fraud risk, supporting business unit fraud prevention objectives and optimization of fraud operations performance. This includes the evaluation and enhancement of fraud prevention and detection strategies and enhancing process automation through analytics and strategy implementation. The responsibilities also include an effective partnership with business and analytic units across the company to ensure a consistent and fluid response to fraud threats while focusing on business objectives and clients. Requires frequent interaction and communication with cross-functional partners and presentations to managers and executives.
Lead the development of analytic solutions focused on fraud risk mitigation and client utility. Manage analytic team priorities to ensure company goals are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Interpret large amounts of complex data to formulate a problem statement, concise conclusions regarding underlying risk dynamics, trends, and opportunities. Leverage data and tools to create outcomes consistent with business objectives. Work closely with other analytic leaders in the company to optimize tools and overall use of data management.
Develop, communicate, and implement optimal fraud prevention strategies (including rules, cutoffs, policies, operational flows, etc.) across all products and channels.
Identify key risk indicators and metrics, develop key metrics, enhance reporting, and identify new areas of analytic focus to better capture fraud.
Provide subject matter expertise on strategy implementation/testing and initiatives related to the improvement of risk mitigation processes and infrastructure
Identify, evaluate and leverage external data sources and analytical solutions to enhance risk strategies.
Coach and lead Fraud Management analysts to increase overall communications capability
Manages a minimum of two direct reports;
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of unit;
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Bachelor's degree in an analytical discipline (Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics). Graduate degree highly preferred.
7+ years of experience in diagnostic fraud detection or risk management operations
Demonstrated experience with data management, data analyses, financial analyses, designing & analyzing experiments, and building statistical model and analytically derived decision trees.
Ability to perform data manipulation and deriving meaningful information from it.
Ability to manage and influence associates and stakeholders through sound analytic findings
Highly Proficient in Excel, Word, Office, etc.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Good written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills using PowerPoint.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment, demonstrating a history of being effective in a complex organization.
Experience working with Third-Party Vendors and data sharing.
