Our client, a Global Insurance Provider, is looking for a Senior Exposure Risk Officer to join their growing team.
Senior Exposure Risk Officer
The primary objective of the Senior Exposure Risk Officer is to work as a part of the Exposure Management Team in driving forward Exposure Management Reporting. This spans a number of Lines of Business and Entities, working from ground up to understand and collate datasets, cleanse and manipulate data and then report exposures. The Senior Exposure Risk Officer will need to be proactive and apply initiative to develop exposure reporting in a visual and concise manner and at an appropriate level of granularity. Requires implementation of calculations and reporting for Extreme Event Scenarios where these are not already set up. In this respect the candidate needs to be open minded and able to think outside of the box to identify potential emerging risks for a specific entity/LOB. Ongoing reporting would include quarterly calculation of exposures and EES as well as change management.
Additional research projects on an ad hoc basis.
This post requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to identify issues within data. Should be able to work independently and manage own workflow but also work as part of a team – in this respect communication is a key skill. The position requires an individual with a strong analytical and data management skill set. The successful candidate will demonstrate a keen desire to learn and an ability to remain open-minded. The successful candidate must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications used regularly by the EM team including Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Programing skills in VBA, SQL, Power BI, R, Python etc are not essential but would be an advantage.
