Job Purpose
The Senior SMF / Pricing Analyst is responsible for performing daily, weekly, and monthly security master and pricing administration on the Business Application Manager platform. The role provides daily data production support for the entire investment process with a focus on the set up and maintenance of investment securities, related data, and security pricing. The SMF /
Pricing function is part of the Risk and Performance team, within Our Client's Shared Services.
Duties and Responsibilities
●Set up and maintain investment instruments and related data in the firm's portfolio management, risk, and portfolio accounting systems utilizing various data sources.
●Assist trade support in setup and maintenance of investment instruments in trading systems
●Execute security master data maintenance activities including amending, validating, deactivating, repairing, & enriching records
●Diagnose security master data exceptions, conduct reconciliations, make corrections, and recommend controls to ensure data accuracy
●Oversee daily security master database to ensure critical data elements are populated in an accurate and timely manner
●Provide support for asset classes including: bonds (sovereign & corporate etc., fixed, floating, inflation linked, convertible etc.), structured products (MBS, ABS, CMBS etc.), IRS, TRS, cross currency & basis swaps, inflation swaps, CDS, CDX, FX Options, swaptions, futures, bank loans, credit linked notes, TBAs, reverse repos, warrants, and equities
●Perform daily maintenance on all broker, manual, and fair valued securities. Responsible for reporting and presentation of monthly Fair Value materials including: overrides, stale prices, fair valued securities, illiquid securities and transaction tolerance breaks.
●Review all daily price and FX variances; confirm day over day variances with vendors and notify risk, performance & portfolio managers of securities breaking tolerances
●Research all missing prices; work with vendors to add new securities to daily process and investigate securities that stopped pricing
●Provide daily support of Our Client's mutual fund nightly valuation process
●Perform daily accrual check of all held securities, reconciling internal accruals to Bloomberg accruals.
●Responsible for processing and reviewing all income and principal payments as well as corporate actions in internal accounting system
●Monitor and ensure all end of night processes and price files are loaded properly
●Identify, implement and test business process improvements projects
