What You'll Contribute
The Senior Manager, Credit Risk Analytics will support Credit Risk Management team as part of our client’s 2nd Line of Defense. This role will be an essential part of the Credit Risk Management Team with responsibilities including:

• Developing credit risk strategies and enhancing of credit underwriting performance
• Analyzing portfolio performance at a granular segment level on an ongoing basis.
• Identifying trends and conducting root-cause analysis to isolate key drivers.
• Providing design and monitoring for credit risk oversight framework including development and maintaining of credit risk standards.

 
This position will report to the Director of Credit Risk Analytics.
 
What You'll Do
Description

• Credit Risk Analytics
  • Develops credit risk strategies by utilizing bureau data, analytics, and models to enhance credit underwriting performance and optimize risk decisions.
  • Identifies emerging credit trends and conduct root-cause analysis to isolate key performance drivers.
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis and projects on specific aspects of credit loss performance
  • Provides support in developing risk rating and monitoring of credit decision processes.
• Risk Oversight
  • Provides design and monitoring for credit risk oversight framework including development and maintaining of credit risk standards.
  • Supports Director Credit Risk Analytics with annual and ad hoc review/update to Credit Risk policy and standards.
  • Interfaces with business partners to design loan review parameters and monitor the First Line of Defense loan review function.
  • Communicates findings and recommended enhancements to business partners and review remediation.
• Portfolio Monitoring and Risk Limit Setting
  • Uses analytical techniques to provide insights into portfolio credit quality at segment level and assessment of emerging risk.
  • Provides design and monitoring for credit risk oversight framework including development of credit risk appetite, risk metrics thresholds, and limits.
• Support Regulatory/Audit Reviews
  • Supports Credit Risk Management team in preparing reports and documentation for regulatory reviews and audit activities.

 
What You Have
Minimum: Indicate minimum education, skills and experience required.

• Undergraduate degree in statistics, economics, mathematics, or other quantitative science
• 6+ years of credit strategy development or credit analytics experience of which 3+ years of experience in 2nd Line of Defense performing credit review and challenge function
• Practical experience using statistical tools (e.g., SAS, Python, R, Tableau etc.).
• Experience in data management and self-sufficiency in data querying
• Familiarity with credit policy, procedures, and standards
• Understanding of regulatory environment
• Card, Financial, or Student lending experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills with ability to conduct presentation to various levels of management
• Strong organizational skills with attention to details
• Strong team player who listens to stakeholders and works effectively toward solutions
