Our client, an elite Global Investment Firm, is looking for a Compliance Officer to join their growing team.

The Compliance Analyst (London-based) is primarily responsible for investment guideline monitoring and client trading oversight of portfolio managers/traders located in London; responsible for assisting compliance officers located in the New York office with oversight of investment guidelines and client trading from time to time as needed. The Compliance Analyst will also be responsible for reviewing marketing and related materials, assisting with FCA periodic regulatory filing requirements on the FCA RegData and FCAConnect portals, and assisting in managing requirements associated with the Dublin-based UCITs, QIFs and Management Company.
Investment Guideline Monitoring and Coding
Real-time surveillance of trading activity using Bloomberg (CMGR and VGMR)
Pre-trade compliance override reviews
Real time compliance query response for 20+ investment professionals in two time zones
Daily post trade investment guideline review by daily exception report
Daily counterparty rating review
Periodic manual checks for guidelines that cannot be coded
Daily OFAC/EU/UK Global sanctions monitoring using Visual Compliance and Bloomberg
Review prospectuses of new issues for ERISA eligibility and mortgage new issues for EU eligibility
Code and test new/revised guidelines
Maintain and update firm and client restricted lists
Maintain, review and revise approved broker list
Maintain and revise rules regarding minimum piece, corporate actions and other operational limits on trading
Oversight of client trading
Review of trade allocations, re-allocations, new issue allocations and performance fee allocations
Review same day buy / sell transactions
Review average price
Review opposite direction and opposite direction +1 transactions
Assist with FCA requirements
Manage ongoing REGDATA/Connect filings
Help ensure preparedness for compliance with new regulations
Work with external compliance consultant to help ensure compliance with FCA requirements
Oversight of UCIT/QIF and Management Company compliance
Help ensure policies and procedures for the Irish Funds and Management Company (AIFM) remain current
Communicate matters related to guideline compliance and fund management to service providers
Assist in responding to inquiries from Irish Central Bank
Assist in the production of liquidity reports in connection with Board meetings
Analyze, summarize and report open and resolved active and passive breaches to the service providers
Review marketing and related materials
Review strategy books, RFPs, consultant databases, UCIT and QIF fact cards and other marketing materials
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
3 - 5 years of compliance experience in the investment advisory/asset management/mutual fund business.
Thorough knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, SEC/FINRA rules and regulations, FCPA, MiFID II/ESMA, FCA regulations, SMCR and GDPR.
Familiarity with UCIT/QIF statutory requirements, including KIIDS/PRIIPS KID.
Knowledge of, or willingness to learn global marketing and advertising rules (U.S. SEC, UK FCA, Swiss and other jurisdictions in Europe and Asia) and GIPS
Significant experience with Bloomberg and oversight of portfolio guidelines and trading.
Knowledge and experience with various types of fixed-income securities, investment products, including derivatives, and investment platforms.
Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be able to write effectively, and present analysis and conclusions in a persuasive manner.
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to develop proficiency in vendor applications as required to perform the duties of this position.
Regular and reliable attendance, able to work overtime as necessary to keep current with work.
