Position Overview The Data Analyst is responsible for the preparation and review the daily / monthly / quarterly / annual data inputs and product of the company. The data inputs and products are at the intersection of two innovative and highly technical industries – healthcare and aviation. In this role, you will have access to everything you need to present meaningful reports – both technical and organizational. Then you will provide reports to management, including C-suite executive team! This will be an incredible learning environment where excellence is pursued throughout the organization. And we all know – good data is the key to good organizational management.
Client Overview Our client, based in Phoenix, AZ, is the leading air ambulance provider across the United States, providing air medical services and outreach education to local communities and leading healthcare systems. They safely transport tens of thousands of patients each year, operating out of more than 60 bases across the United States. At each base, is maintained a dedicated crew of pilots, nurses and communications specialists – all exceptionally trained and ready to respond.
Gather data inputs from three primary sources (flight data, medical charts, billing systems)
Synthesize data using proprietary system technology
Communicate with teams providing data to ensure data integrity
To be clear, this is not a data entry job! Although there will be elements of data entry required.
Analyze data – looking for trends, strengths, weaknesses, anomalies, red flags, and green lights!
Present meaningful reports to management, including C-suite
Collaborate with management to implement reporting updates
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in applicable fields is preferred but not required
5+ years of data analysis, preferably in healthcare
Excel skills are necessary; SQL, VBA, other coding skills will be useful, but not required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to produce quality reports within tight timeframes
