Job Description & Synthesis
The Senior Marketing Manager – Consumer Deposits is the team managers responsible for driving acquisition and engagement for our consumer deposit product segment. This role will develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies for the deposit segment. This role serves as a subject matter expert on consumer deposits and partners closely with his or her Business Unit (BU) leadership and cross-functional teams to create and deliver on marketing strategies that incorporate social media, email, creative & messaging development, digital advertising, events, thought leadership/content and sales support. In addition, this role will be responsible for leading high-priority region-specific retail marketing efforts needed at the direction of the Retail Leadership and Regional Presidents.
This position reports directly to the Marketing Director of Consumer and Small Business and will collaborate directly with stakeholders from retail, regional leadership, product, digital, and marketing leadership teams as well as centers of excellence for social, email, web, and advertising partnership.
Based on strategic guidance from the direct manager, craft well-structured strategic marketing plans and creative briefs using qualitative and quantitative data and producing measurable results.
Navigate a highly matrixed organization, influence partners, build consensus, and work across various functional departments to plan & execute through creative development, targeting, and production.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the features and benefits of financial products offered to the segment.
Lead the marketing launch of new products, features, and benefits – guiding channel teams and gaining alignment from business partners on marketing strategy.
Present campaign reporting including financials, performance, and test results.
Ensure that marketing programs adhere to brand standards and contribute to building brand equity.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies to execute campaigns and programs.
Use internal and external resources to understand the impact of marketing programs on the entire buying funnel down to incremental sales, revenue, and ROI. Based on results and discussion with Marketing Leadership contribute ideas and recommendations for future planning.
Follow established department policies, procedures, and workflow practices.
Serve as the first line of defense in implementing appropriate risk controls.
Lead marketing planning and campaign management acquisition and engagement strategies.
Develop/refine a differentiated client-centric value story for products and services for prospects and clients that are grounded in business owner needs and the unique benefits and capabilities of the bank.
Create toolkits and enablement materials for sales and marketing, ensuring the field team is equipped to sell consumer deposit products/solutions.
Responsible for bank opening/closing activities and may perform other duties as assigned from regional retail partners' needs.
Manage and mentor a team of direct reports
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent); other degrees considered if the candidate has strongly demonstrated marketing or sales results.
5-10+ years of experience in relevant accountable marketing disciplines such as customer marketing, segment marketing, database marketing, direct marketing, digital marketing, etc.
Regulated industry (i.e. Financial Services, Healthcare, Gaming, etc.) experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
Experience working for or with a publicly traded company.
Quantified results from marketing programs and campaigns created and managed.
Excellent writing and communication skills including proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
Demonstrated interest in building a knowledge base and active curiosity about what drives customer and business value.
Personal or professional experience in emerging marketing disciplines such as digital marketing, customer-relationship management, inbound marketing, social media, etc. are encouraged but not required of candidates.
