Job Synthesis & Description
Our client is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented recent graduate or individual with 0-5 years of experience to support its trading functions. The work environment is open, team-based, and fast-paced. Our client executes trades in almost every area of the US securities markets including high yield and investment-grade debt, equities, options, CLOs, and treasury securities. The Trade Desk Assistant will assist with trading desk functions such as maintaining trading systems, tracking and analysis of trading and securities lending/financing opportunities, and researching company-specific news for portfolios, data-entry, and general trade desk administrative assistance. A successful candidate will eventually be given trading responsibility over time.
Recent graduates in any major are encouraged to apply, but individuals with a business background are preferred. Strong Excel skills are required. This position offers the opportunity for smart people that want to be involved in and learn from the trading desk of a multi-strategy private investment firm.
Exemplary analytical skills
Proficiency with Excel, SQL, VBA, and Bloomberg
Undergraduate degree in finance, statistics, management information systems, or a related discipline
