Leadership Opportunity | Eye Health & Emerging Therapeutic Areas
We are partnering on a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Computational Biology leader to help shape the future of data-driven discovery and translational science in Eye Health and emerging therapeutic areas.
This is a high-impact role for a scientific leader who can combine deep biological insight, AI/ML-enabled analytics, multi-omics integration, and strategic portfolio thinking to advance therapeutic concepts from early discovery through clinical proof of concept.
The successful candidate will lead computational biology strategy across areas including retinal disease, neurodegeneration, inflammation, gene therapy, regenerative medicine, and microbiome-linked biology, helping translate complex molecular, imaging, and clinical datasets into actionable decisions for precision medicine.
The role will involve:
- Leading computational biology strategy for Eye Health and adjacent/emerging therapeutic areas
- Applying bioinformatics, AI/ML, multi-omics, imaging analytics, and multimodal data integration to support target discovery, biomarker identification, patient stratification, and translational decision-making
- Partnering closely with discovery, translational medicine, clinical, data science, and external collaborators
- Shaping portfolio priorities from early research through clinical proof of concept
- Building, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing computational biology team
- Driving collaborations that close key scientific and data gaps across the R&D ecosystem
We are looking for someone with: - A PhD or equivalent experience in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Human Genetics, Ophthalmology, Systems Biology, or a related discipline
- Strong expertise in multi-omics integration, machine learning, translational biology, and precision medicine
- Experience applying computational approaches across discovery and early clinical development
- A track record of scientific leadership in pharma, biotech, or leading academic environments
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex science with clarity
- Experience in eye health, retinal disease, neurovascular biology, inflammation, gene therapy, or adjacent disease biology would be highly valuable
This is an opportunity to lead at the intersection of
computational biology, ophthalmic innovation, and precision medicine — helping turn complex human data into therapeutic insight.
