Head of Project Management and Clinical Operations

Location: UK, Fully Remote

KEMIO Consulting is excited to be partnering with a medium-sized well-established CRO looking for an experienced leader to head up their Project Management and Clinical Operations (ClinOps) team.

This is a strategic role working closely with C-suite executives and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Clinical Project Management and Clinical Operations SOPs, templates, and work instructions.
• Recruit, train, and line manage Project Managers (PMs) and Clinical Research Associates (CRAs).
• Forecast and allocate resources to ensure timely and profitable project delivery.
• Oversee project handovers from Commercial to Project Management, ensuring clear scopes, timelines, and budgets.
• Support business development activities, including proposals, budgets, and bid defenses.
• Manage third-party vendors for regulatory and operational support.
• Contribute to product development and pricing strategies.
• Participate in leadership meetings, audits, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline science; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in biopharma, CROs, or RWE consultancies with experience in Project Management and Clinical Operations.
• Previous experience working on Immunology, Rare Disease and Oncology studies
• Expertise in RWE generation and real-world data applications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• In-depth knowledge of PMBOK principles, risk-based monitoring, and regulatory frameworks (ICH, HIPAA, GDPR).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AI tools.
• Current GxP certification.
