As Associate Director, for data excellence, you’ll lead a talented team of data scientists and engineers to create scalable, FAIR-compliant data ecosystems that power AI and analytics at the heart of drug discovery.
  
You’ll design and deliver strategies that make complex biological and clinical data accessible, interoperable, and actionable — turning data chaos into clarity.
  
You’ll:

• Lead a multidisciplinary team (5–10) focused on data infrastructure, tools, and analytics enablement
• Partner closely with IT, bioinformatics, and R&D leadership to align data and digital strategies
• Build and scale data platforms that support AI/ML at enterprise level
• Drive FAIR data principles, ensuring scientific data is findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable
• Introduce new technologies, apps, and analytical tools that keep the organisation ahead of the curve

  
What type of person are we looking for?
You’re a bridge between science, data, and technology — equally comfortable in a lab discussion or an IT architecture meeting.
You thrive on solving complex data problems and leading teams that bring structure to innovation.
  
You’ll bring:

• A PhD (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related discipline
• 5+ years’ experience in data engineering, bioinformatics, or software development
• Proven leadership managing technical teams in a fast-moving, matrixed R&D environment
• Strong understanding of data infrastructure, sequencing technologies, and FAIR principles
• Experience collaborating with IT partners and CROs to scale data environments
