This is a fantastic opportunity for a PhD graduate or Post Doc to take the next step in their career at a world-renowned research institute in London. You’ll be working as a Bioinformatician in the Breast Cancer Research Group, identifying new anticancer targets.
  
You’ll be working onsite, collaborating closely with the wet lab team. Your responsibilities will include developing Bioinformatics pipelines, optimising existing workflows and interpreting DNA mutations. You will also be working on DNA, RNA and single cell data analyses. The right candidate will be given opportunities to build novel algorithms to develop the current infrastructure.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for DNA, RNA, and single-cell analyses.
• Explore opportunities to incorporate new technologies and algorithms into the infrastructure.
• Liaise with clinical and wet-lab scientists and contribute to collaborative research.

Ideally you will have:

• A PhD in Bioinformatics / Computational biology/ Other Computational Subject (or MSc plus 2/3 years’ work experience)
• Proficient programming skills (Python or R)
• Experience working in HPC environments
• Knowledge of either UNIX or LINUX systems
• Strong experience working with NGS sequencing data (Ideally transcriptomics)
• Experience working with cancer data is preferred but not essential
