Associate Director Business Development – Remote UK or Europe

KEMIO are working with a global leader in bioinformatics and data management solutions. This organisation provides innovative solutions to analyse data and develop insights that help accelerate drug development. Using several custom services and products, they solve some of the toughest problems in drug development using complex data. Partners include global biotech / pharma and they are turning over $45M per year currently.
We are looking for a Manager or Associate Director, Business Development remotely in Europe to continue building their partnerships here. You will work closely with the US based team but have autonomy over your own potential clients and sales pipeline. The territory is warm, but requires an established life sciences salesperson to come in and grow the client base utilising your market knowledge and current contacts.
As a key player in the organisation, you will:
- Sell cutting-edge bioinformatics services and products to prominent players in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and life science sectors.
- Identify and cultivate new business prospects across various segments, utilising your network, research, and engagement strategies.
- Exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for your designated territory.
- Forge connections with decision-makers at prospective and existing accounts, arranging meetings with technical teams and senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with their technical and solutioning teams, approaching clients in a consultative manner.
- Demonstrate exceptional sales skills throughout the entire sales cycle, understanding client needs, identifying opportunities, coordinating presentations, and closing deals.
- Utilise your interpersonal skills to negotiate contracts and build enduring relationships with clients and internal partners.
- Travel as needed to nurture customer relationships and grow the business.
- Collaborate with their Inside Sales team to effectively prospect new clients.
- Maintain up-to-date sales information and reports, ensuring accurate forecasts and pipelines.
To succeed in this role, you should be a collaborative pioneer with a passion for Bioinformatics / SaaS / Omics / Life Science services and a deep understanding of R&D. An advanced degree in science is preferred, and your existing network of UK and European decision-makers, ideally in pharma, will be a valuable asset. Experience in a multi-cultural organisation is essential, and your professionalism and customer-centric approach should set you apart.
