About the Role:
Based in Mackay, this role works closely with our District Office and more than 230 Sub Branches across Queensland, helping volunteer-led organisations access the guidance, resources and support they need to thrive.
This is a highly relationship-focused role where you'll influence outcomes, build trusted partnerships and connect veterans and communities with the services they need.
Regular regional travel is required, along with occasional after-hours attendance at community and veteran events, so flexibility is essential.
What you'll do
- Build trusted relationships with RSL Sub Branch committees and community stakeholders and improve outcomes for veterans and their families.
- Support volunteer-led organisations to navigate local challenges and opportunities
- Connect veterans, families and communities with relevant services and support programs
- Influence positive outcomes through collaboration, community engagement and partnerships
- Prepare reports, manage budgets and coordinate competing priorities
About you: You're an experienced relationship-builder who enjoys working with diverse stakeholders and can influence without direct authority. You thrive in community-focused environments, are comfortable working independently and are passionate about supporting those who serve others.

Skills & Experience: - ADF service, experience working with Defence personnel, or a strong understanding of the veteran community
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills including Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience supporting volunteers, community groups or member-based organisations
- Confidence working with reports, budgets and Microsoft Office programs
- A current Driver Licence and Working with Children Card (or ability to obtain one)
- Flexibility to travel regularly throughout the region and occasionally work outside standard business hours
