And most importantly, you’ll be making a real difference in the lives of veterans and their families.
Why work at RSL Queensland:

As a part of a broader team, you’ll work closely with the District Office and Sub Branches to understand their unique needs, ensuring they are equipped with the right tools, resources and training to operate effectively, maintain strong governance and deliver meaningful outcomes for veterans. By building capability and fostering connection, you’ll help ensure each Sub Branch remains sustainable, compliant and deeply engaged with its members and local community. As part of the League Development team, accountabilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Provide guidance on future planning, strategic development, and governance considerations
- Identify and help to resolve challenges, including logistical and financial issues

- Facilitate positive relationships with local councils, community groups and political representatives
- Support Sub Branches to plan and deliver activities, programs and initiatives that meaningfully engage the veteran community and strengthen local connection
- Support compliance with ACNC and other relevant regulatory reporting requirements
This is a permanent, full time position that is designed to be highly connected and collaborative, which is why this role is based onsite in our Strathpine office, with local travel to our subbranches required.
What’s required to succeed: If you’re a relationship-driven professional who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving and making an impact, this is your opportunity to contribute to a trusted organisation supporting those who have served.
- Relevant history of training and/or service in the ADF or a close connection; or demonstrated experience working with current or ex-service personnel in a similar role which has created a strong understanding of the issues facing our veterans and their families
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including the use of the Microsoft suite of programs such as word and excel, to undertake administration tasks relevant to the role
- Ability to read and understand annual reports, basic legislation/policy and profit and loss statements
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships
- Proven experience working in a flexible unsupervised capacity dealing with complex issues with competing interests
- Current Drivers Licence
- A valid working with children card (or eligible for same)
- Ability to travel to meet regional requirements
- Ability to work weekends/out of hours on an ad-hoc basis.
Embracing collaboration and innovation, we work as one to lead the change veterans need. We’re not afraid to go the extra mile or seek better ways of doing things. We look out for each other; we value all voices and respect perspectives that may differ from our own; and everything we do, we do with heart.
