Now, a bit about the role: As a Compensation Advocate (T/L1), you will support veterans and their families through compensation claims and appeals processes with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
This is a highly structured, administration and case management-focused role, where accuracy, organisation and consistency are key.
Based in our Stafford office, you will work to:
- Prepare and submit compensation claims in line with legislative and policy requirements
- Manage and maintain detailed client records using CRM systems
- Coordinate case files, documentation and supporting evidence
- Monitor claim progress and provide timely updates
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support veterans through complex situations
You will be supported through structured onboarding and training, including completion of the Advocacy Training and Development Program (ADTP), and will gradually build capability before independently managing cases.
What’s required to succeed:
To succeed in this role, you will thrive in a structured environment and be comfortable working with detailed processes and information.
You will bring:
- Experience in administration, case management, or similar environments
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex information accurately
- The ability to learn, interpret and apply legislation and policy
- Confidence in handling sensitive or challenging conversations
- Emotional resilience and the ability to maintain professional boundaries
- A proactive and curious mindset, with a willingness to learn and ask questions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
You do not need prior advocacy experience — full training will be provided.
