Now, a bit about the role: This role and the Admin Services team are the team that help the wheels go round at RSL Queensland. They flex in to support on ad hoc administration tasks, they’re the warm greeting in reception, and they’re the team that fill our kitchens at Anzac House and 100 Wickham with snacks, drinks (and some would say joy!). As an administration assistant, no task is too big or too small from general office support services and attending to reception, to cleaning out the coffee machine and unpacking the dishwasher. This role turns its hand to anything and is happy to support.
This is a
permanent part-time position, 3 days a week, based in the office between our two Fortitude Valley sites and reports into the Team Leader, Administration Services. Office days will be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8.30 – 4.30pm.
What’s required to succeed: This role requires a warm and friendly demeanour, a can-do attitude and a willingness to lean in an provide support when needed. You’ll work autonomously and as part of a driven and caring team.
- Minimum 2yrs previous reception experience intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Well-developed written communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to build relationships
- Proven administration skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Practical experience in a similar role
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of information
- Practical thinking and ability to deal with reactive situations in a calm and coordinated manner
- Ability to work as part of a team, and autonomously, but always in the best interests of the team
