Now, a bit about the role: The Administration Support Officer, or Wellbeing Support Administrator as we call it internally supports the Wellbeing Team through the provision of administrative services within the Veteran Homelessness Program (VHP), Financial Hardship Program, and other activities undertaken by the Wellbeing team. A core function of this role is the booking of accommodation and related financial governance of Wellbeing programs. It involves supporting with the administrational processing of financial expenditure of RSL Queensland.
This role reports to the Senior Manager - Client Contact and Wellbeing Services and assist Team Leaders and the Wellbeing team. It will be based in our Brisbane office in Fortitude Valley.
What’s required to succeed: - Tertiary qualifications in accounting or related discipline.
- 2-5 years in finance-related or administration role with a strong finance element
- Experience in the end-to-end finance functions of Purchase orders to Accounts Payable.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or a similar integrated ERP system.
- Experience in usage of an automated invoice processing system.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
- Pro-active and innovative approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
- Demonstrated effective communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement capability - notably with external vendors
- Demonstrated organisation and coordination skills.
- Ability to uphold RSL Queensland objects, values and mission.
- Ability to show empathy and work in highly sensitive environments and situations.
- Some knowledge and understanding of the ADF and veteran communities is desirable.
