I am working with a highly regarded law firm in Wiltshire who are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Litigation Secretary to join their busy litigation team in Trowbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong legal secretarial experience, ideally within litigation, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing high-quality support to fee earners.
The Role As Litigation Secretary, you will:

• Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
• Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and court forms through accurate audio and copy typing
• Manage diaries, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings and court dates
• Liaise with clients, courts, counsel, and external experts in a professional manner
• Maintain accurate and confidential case files (digital and paper-based)
• Assist with billing processes, including preparing cost schedules and managing disbursements
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and post with professionalism and efficiency

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within litigation or dispute resolution
• Fast and accurate typing skills (digital dictation experience desirable)
• Confident IT skills with Microsoft Office and case management systems (e.g. Proclaim or similar)
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A professional, discreet, and proactive approach
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

• Experience in personal injury, civil litigation, or family law
• Knowledge of court procedures and legal terminology
