Guma-Warnii Resources is currently seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Specialist to join a major project team based in Perth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior contracts and procurement professional to work within a dynamic project environment, supporting key commercial activities and working closely with project teams and senior stakeholders.

• $110–$120 per hour + Super, depending on experience
• 12-month initial assignment
• Perth Central Park office-based
• Minimal travel, with occasional site visits as required

About the Role
As the Senior Contracts Specialist, you will provide commercial and procurement expertise across the project lifecycle. You will be involved in developing contracting and procurement strategies, managing tender and sourcing processes, negotiating agreements and supporting the effective management of contracts.
You'll work closely with technical, project and commercial stakeholders to ensure contracts are structured appropriately, risks are managed effectively and project objectives are achieved.
The role will also involve managing supplier and contractor relationships, providing commercial advice and supporting the resolution of variations, claims and other contractual matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement and contract strategies
• Lead EOI, RFQ and tender processes
• Manage commercial negotiations with suppliers and contractors
• Develop and manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks
• Provide commercial advice to project teams and senior stakeholders
• Manage variations, claims and contractual matters
• Monitor supplier and contractor performance
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies and governance requirements
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers

What You'll Bring

• Significant experience in contracts, procurement or commercial management
• Proven experience managing complex and/or high-value contracts
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Excellent understanding of procurement and contracting processes
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving project environment
• Strong attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused approach
