We are seeking motivated, safety-focused Mobile Plant Operators to join our team supporting the maintenance of vital access roads along a major rail corridor in the Pilbara.

Based in Karratha/Dampier, this residential opportunity offers the chance to work across critical infrastructure projects while operating a range of heavy mobile plant. You’ll play an important role in keeping access roads safe, reliable and operational for the movement of people, equipment and resources.

About the Role

As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining and rehabilitating access roads throughout the rail corridor, ensuring they remain safe and suitable for daily operations.
You will work across multiple sites and operate a range of heavy machinery, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance.

You will ideally have experience operating:

• CAT Graders
• Rollers
• Watercarts
• Loaders
• Heavy Combination (HC) Trucks

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy mobile plant and equipment
• Maintain and rehabilitate access roads and haul roads
• Operate machinery across multiple project sites
• Float and relocate equipment between sites as required
• Complete daily pre-start inspections and basic equipment checks
• Identify and report equipment faults and maintenance requirements
• Work closely with supervisors and other team members to achieve project outcomes
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and equipment care
• Follow all site safety procedures, environmental requirements and operational standards

About You

We're looking for experienced operators with a strong background in civil, construction, mining or infrastructure environments.

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating heavy machinery
• Current driver's licence and relevant plant operating competencies
• HR or HC licence highly desirable
• Previous experience maintaining access roads or haul roads is advantageous
• Experience in civil, mining, rail or remote infrastructure environments
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work a residential 8:6 roster in Karratha/Dampier
• Flexibility to travel between sites and relocate equipment when required
