Join a leading resources operation on Australia's largest privately owned rail network. We're looking for an experienced Ballast Cleaner / Fitter Mechanical to operate, repair and maintain Ballast Cleaner RM900 and Spoil Wagon Track Machines across workshop and operational environments on the Pilbara rail network.
  
This is a genuine long term opportunity. Our client is investing significantly in training and upskilling the right person on their specialised equipment, so we're looking for tradespeople ready to commit to an ongoing role and grow with the operation. If you're after stability, development and a clear future rather than a short stint, this one's for you.
  
What you'll be doing

• Service and maintenance of Caterpillar and Deutz engines
• Pneumatic systems including train brake systems
• Conveyor belt building and installation
• Hydraulic fault finding and component change outs
• Wear liner change out and fabrication
• 415/240V and 24V diagnostics and statutory compliance
• PLC diagnostics and repair

What you'll bring

• A genuine commitment to a long term role, this is not a short term contract
• Strong safety values and culture
• Plasser track machinery experience
• Mechanical background essential
• Hydraulic experience preferable
• Rail maintenance experience with sound knowledge of rail operations and practices
• Current C Class driver's licence
• National Police Clearance

Nice to have

• HR licence, forklift ticket, WWH experience
• National qualifications in Rail Infrastructure
