We're currently seeking experienced Mobile Plant Operators to join our team on an ongoing FIFO opportunity at Rio Tinto's Brockman site.

Position Details

• Resource Development
• Site: Brockman
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Ongoing
• Roster: 2:1 FIFO
• Hours: 12 hour shifts
• Pay Rate: $65 - $70 per hour
• Superannuation: Paid on all hours worked
• Pay Cycle: Weekly (Monday–Sunday timesheets due Sunday, processed each Wednesday)
• Paid Travel: Ex-Perth travel time paid
• Fly to site: Wednesday morning
• Fly back to Perth: Tuesday afternoon

About the Role

You'll be working within Rio Tinto's exploration and rehabilitation teams, operating a variety of mobile plant across drill pad construction, rehabilitation, and access track works. The role involves working in varied and occasionally steep terrain, so operators who can adapt quickly and work safely in exploration environments are highly regarded.
Plant & Scope of Works Experience operating the following equipment is essential:

• 36T Excavator (primarily for drill pad construction)
• CAT 150M Grader
• Hitachi ZW250 IT Loader

Key responsibilities include:

• Drill pad construction
• Access track construction
• Rehabilitation of drill pads and legacy tracks
• Track maintenance
• Steep terrain
• Safe and efficient operation of mobile plant

Requirements

• Relevant RII Plant Operator tickets
• Current C Class or HR Driver's Licence
• Construction White Card
• Rio Tinto Generic Induction & Medical (High G&I)
• Existing Rio inductions are highly advantageous
• Demonstrated experience in exploration and/or rehabilitation works
