Location: FIFO from Perth to Nammuldi Brockman 4

Roster: 5:2:4:3 (Short weeks: 4x 12hr site days, Long weeks: 4x 12hr site days + 1x 8hr Perth day), with flexibility for 9:5 swings during shutdowns (every 13 weeks)

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join a dynamic team for a 6-month contract to oversee critical structural remediation work for a major mining operation. This role will focus on fixed plant structural integrity inspections and repairs, as well as supporting balanced machine inspections and necessary remediation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the central structural engineering team to review fixed plant structural integrity inspection reports and perform FS work to remediate Class 3 and Class 4 defects.
• Deliver a Capital Expenditure Application by the end of the 6-month engagement, detailing resourcing requirements and timelines.
• Partner with the central balanced machine team to review structural integrity inspection reports, scope required repairs with external vendors, and work with internal planning/scheduling teams to schedule remediation works.
• Oversee the execution of remediation works during plant shutdowns.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Technical Writing experience
• SAP experience
• Experience in issuing RFQs, evaluating tenders, and managing Technical Requirements Questionnaires (TRQs)
• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or similar.
• 3+ years of experience in a mining fixed plant environment.
• Proven track record in delivering brownfields projects.
• Proficiency with SAP for project management and reporting.
• Previous experience with Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) engagements is highly preferred.
