About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a highly capable Senior Project Engineer to join our clients team on a significant mining closure project. This role will see you based in Perth initially for inductions and onboarding before transitioning to an 8 days on, 6 days off roster (12-hour days).
You’ll be central to overseeing quality control inspections and the final verification of project works, ensuring a smooth and thorough handover and completion process. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives on driving accountability, is confident to challenge constructively, and brings a proactive, self-starting attitude.
What You’ll Be Doing
Implement & facilitate structured handover processes, coordinating with stakeholders to align on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Lead infield inspections & verifications, checking completed civil works such as access roads, drainage, TSF capping, erosion control, and monitoring installations.
Identify defects & manage punch lists, ensuring corrective actions are taken and documented through to completion.
Prepare quality control handover reports, confirming that all deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Manage documentation, uploading final records into the designated systems and supporting post-handover requirements.
Obtain certifications, verifying that civil works comply with closure criteria and all internal, environmental, and legal obligations.
What We’re Looking For
A degree-qualified Engineer (Civil, Mining or related discipline).
Extensive experience in mining or large-scale civil projects, ideally with exposure to closure and handover works
A strong background in quality control, inspections and managing project handovers.
Someone who is confident to question and challenge in a respectful manner, ensuring high standards are met.
A self-starter, comfortable working independently and taking ownership of outcomes.
Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
