Join a high-performing team driving some of Rio Tinto’s most significant Sustaining Capital projects.

We are currently seeking two experienced Contracts Specialists to support major capital works.
Working from Central Park in Perth with ad hoc site travel, these roles are embedded in a dynamic Sustaining Capital Procurement team of 60 professionals and report into the Major Projects Contract Superintendent.

About the Roles: You will act as a key commercial interface between project delivery teams and contracting partners, overseeing end-to-end procurement, contract execution and contractor management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans
• Draft, negotiate and execute complex contracts
• Assess claims, manage disputes and ensure contract compliance
• Build strong, values-based relationships across internal and external stakeholders
• Support effective commercial decision-making and project delivery

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to work independently
• Demonstrated experience on large-scale construction or mining projects
• End-to-end procurement and contract management expertise
• Sound capability in claims management and resolution
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Proven success managing competing priorities in fast-paced environments
• Tertiary qualification in a legal, business, commercial or related field
• Target Cost Model experience (highly desirable for one of the roles)
• Experience with complex EOT and variation claims (Cape Lambert role)
