Hours of Work: Guaranteed 40 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends.
Wage Rate: $27 - $29 per hour

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.
  
In this key leadership role, you’ll support the Executive Housekeeping Manager in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all guest rooms and public areas. You'll be passionate about maintaining a welcoming environment for our guests, while also motivating and supporting a hardworking housekeeping team.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Assisting the Executive Housekeeper in oversight of the department including determining work requirements and allocation of duties.
• Preparation and maintenance of Housekeeping department rosters and attendance records.
• Oversight of day-to-day activity of Housekeeping staff, and ensuring that training is coordinated, structured, and aligned with service standards.
• Taking a proactive approach to recommending service improvements to drive departmental success.
• Spot-checking rooms with Housekeeping Supervisors to ensure that service standards are being achieved.
• Taking a pro-active approach to cleaning of the property, and taking pride in the appearance of the property.
• Assist with any other duties reasonably required by the Executive Housekeeper or General Manager.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years relevant housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year working at a supervisor level.
• A hands-on approach and excellent attention to detail.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality or related field would be an advantage.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Availability for the full duration of the fixed-term contract
