Hotel: Scenic Hotel Marlborough
Location: 65 Alfred Street, Blenheim Central
Employment Type: Full-Time, permanent waged role. Monday to Sunday.
Hours: 30 - 40 hours guaranteed per week
Shifts: Roster is over 7-days (07:00am - 15:30pm & 14:30 - 11:00pm) and some night shifts. 
Wage Rate: $28.18 - $29.66

The successful applicant must have the ability to work efficiently both autonomously and as part of a team. Sound interpersonal and organisational skills are required, along with strong cash handling and time management skills.

Your Role: What You'll Do and Your Responsibilities:

• • Supervise and oversee reception shifts, greeting guests.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the hotel.
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Provide local tourism information and arrange tours/transportation.
  • Ensure hotel and guest security.
  • Report incidents or concerns to Managers.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol regulations.
  • Liaise with other departments for special requirements.
  • Assist other hotel departments as needed.
  • Provide leadership in the Front Office department.
  • Manage reservations and oversee Front Office tasks.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• 1-2 years experience in a similar role (Required)
• Current LCQ License (Desired)
• Obtaining and maintaining a current General Manager’s Certificate as required under the Sale of Liquor At 1989. (Desired)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and in writing)
• Computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems quickly
