Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent position
Hours of Work: Guaranteed 30 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends.
The Duty Manager role offers variety and is vital in ensuring the smooth and effective running of our Front Office department. This position requires a can-do attitude, great people skills, and the ability to work within a diverse team
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in the Front Office department, including the supervision and oversight of Front Office shifts.
- Meeting and greeting guests, and managing guest reservations.
- Responding to guest enquiries.
- Oversight of security of the hotel property, and reporting any incidents or concerns to Management.
- Ensuring the requirements under the Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act and Scenic Hotel Group's host responsibilities are being met by all team members.
Preferred Skills and Experience: - 2-3 years of relevant Front Office experience in a hotel environment.
- An LCQ qualification, and a current Managers Certificate.
- A current First Aid certificate.
- A full NZ Drivers licence.
- Flexible in availability
- Ability to resolve guest complaints professionally.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
