Location: 45 Marine Parade, Napier South, Napier 4110
Employment Type: Part-time permanent position.
Hours of Work: Guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week, with additional hours available through casual leave cover
Night Audit Shifts: X2 shifts per week 11:00pm - 7:30am 
Wage Rate: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on experience

About the Role:

This part-time Night Auditor position offers the opportunity to take ownership of the hotel during overnight shifts. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel, completing nightly audit procedures, maintaining the security of the property, and delivering exceptional service to our overnight guests.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Work independently as the sole person on duty during night shifts
• Oversee hotel security and respond to incidents or guest needs overnight
• Complete night audit functions, including financial reconciliation of Front Office and Food & Beverage transactions
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts and reporting
• Prepare daily reports and ensure accurate system balancing
• Schedule guest wake-up calls
• Prepare Front Office for the morning shift, including reception and public areas
• Assist with wider Front Office duties as required by management

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 2-3 years’ Front Office or Duty Manager experience in a hotel environment
• LCQ qualification and current Manager’s Certificate required
• First Aid certificate preferred
• Full NZ Driver Licence required
• Strong financial and basic accounting ability woudl be advantegous 
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Confident working independently on night shift
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Flexible availability across a rotating roster
